ABOUT WEGA

WEGA is the electronic music project of Alexander Hardt, founded in 2021. The space music-inspired sound of WEGA draws influences from the early Berlin School, with artists like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, as well as elements of progressive rock and ambient music.

In August 2024, WEGA released the debut album Echoes from a Gentle Past on Groove Unlimited. The album reached No. 8 in the Schallwelle Awards for Best Album of 2024.

WEGA also performs live with guitarist Tim Schwerdorf, blending electronic soundscapes with atmospheric guitar elements.

Before WEGA, Alexander Hardt was part of the music project Anemine, active since the early 2000s. Together with Roman Weingardt, the duo released several remixes and the album Meeresweiten in 2014.

In addition to his artistic work, he runs Toneglow Libraries, a sound design company specializing in professional sound effects.
